P-Star
In Wizard Style Lines

This workshop explores the P-Star as an entry point into lines within the Wizard style.
Instead of treating it as an isolated trick, we'll approach it as a position that can generate flow, direction changes, and combinations. The goal is to understand how movement lives within a line, not as something separate.
We'll start by breaking down the body mechanics of the P-Star. From there, we'll explore different entries. The intention is to understand how the P-Star appears naturally within the flow.
Body mechanics
- —Edge control
- —Weight distribution
- —Balance points
Entries
- —From forward movement
- —From rotational movements
Transitions
- —Into swivels
- —Connections into tsunamis
- —Direction changes while maintaining continuity
Key idea
It's not about learning a trick.
It's about understanding how a position can become a creative center of movement.
What to expect?
If you're a beginner
- —Discover body organization within movement
- —Understand balance and weight distribution
- —Explore without technical pressure
If you haven't mastered the fakie yet — even though the P-Star traditionally starts from there — we can adapt the movement forward and begin from that point. The idea is to play, not to force.
What to expect?
If you're intermediate
Foundation
- —Back closed gazelle
- —P-Star control
Focus
- —Movement continuity
- —Variations and alternatives
- —Line construction
We'll work on
- —Guided proposals
- —Free exploration
- —Reading the body in movement
Some ideas will come from the workshop, others will arise from what your own body asks for.
You'll leave with
- —New ways to connect movements
- —Greater understanding of flow
- —Tools for improvising
- —A broader vision of the P-Star within the Wizard style
